Vara, Óscar

Óscar Vara is Associate Professor of Economic Theory in the Department of Economic Analysis I at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). He wrote Las Raíces del Pensamiento Económico Moderno and is also co-author of El Estado y la Teoría Económica: Ideas Prospectivas del Papel del Estado en la Economía and El Enigma Económico Ruso: Notas teorías sobre la transición. He has participated in the research projects: “Russia as a Candidate for the European Union”, “Russia in Europe” and “Catalytics and Praxeology”. Vara holds a B.A. and Ph.D. in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
